You need €10,000 accessible for a 1-year course. The source of funds explanation is the #1 cause of refusals for Algerian applicants. DZD → EUR conversions must go through authorised banks — start this 6 months before applying.
Il faut 10 000 € disponibles pour un cours d'un an. La justification de l'origine des fonds est la première cause de refus pour les candidats algériens. La conversion DZD → EUR doit passer par des banques agréées — commencez 6 mois à l'avance.

Apply online at visas.inis.gov.ie. The cover letter is scrutinised closely. A vague or poorly written cover letter is the most common reason Algerian applications are refused.

Book your IRP appointment at burgh-quay.ie immediately on arrival — slots disappear within hours. Without your IRP card you cannot open a bank account, get a PPS number, or start working.

Your PPS number is your Irish tax and social ID — you need it for everything. Open Revolut or N26 immediately on arrival (no IRP needed), then switch to a main bank once settled.

Your Stamp 2 allows this without any additional permit. At Irish minimum wage (~€13.50/hr), 20 hours/week brings in roughly €1,080/month — covering most living costs.

Maximum 2 years of English language courses (3 × 8 months). After that, you must enrol in a QQI Level 6+ programme. Being in Ireland dramatically increases your chances of finding the right programme and employer.

Level 8 qualification = 12 months. Level 9 (Masters) or above = 24 months. This is the bridge from student to working professional in Ireland — no employer sponsor needed upfront.
Niveau 8 = 12 mois. Niveau 9 (Master) ou plus = 24 mois. C'est le pont entre étudiant et professionnel en Irlande — sans avoir besoin d'un employeur parrain dès le départ.
